About the AI Readiness diagnostic
The AI Readiness diagnostic is built by Eqwitty. Eqwitty focuses on diligence for business transactions, combining finance, technology and data science to make deal-team rigor available to everyone. Its stated belief: diligence should focus on the business and the people, not the paperwork. The diagnostic applies that same rigor to a different question: an organization's path to AI-driven value, grounded in the KPIs and return on investment its board already tracks.
It exists because most AI maturity assessments are lead-capture forms with a black-box score. We wanted a diagnostic that publishes its method, gives a leader decisions they can act on the following Monday, and stays comparable across organizations so peer benchmarks mean something.
How the method was designed
The scoring model measures 9 pillars with 45 questions. The pillars and their weights follow the leading public frameworks, including Gartner's AI maturity model, BCG's finding that most AI value comes from people and process rather than algorithms, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. Every scored question is behaviorally anchored: each answer describes a concrete, recognizable situation, so a non-technical executive and an engineer answer it the same way.
The diagnostic philosophy, the question design and the 90-day plan templates are Eqwitty's advisory practice, written down. The full method, including weights and band thresholds, is on the methodology page.
How it is built and run
Scores are computed on the server from your answers and frozen with each assessment, so a result never changes after the fact. Benchmarks are aggregated across anonymized cohorts and are only shown once a cohort is large enough to be meaningful. Personalized plans use an AI model to specialize a stage template against your own answers; the template is always available as a fallback. Details on data handling are in the privacy notice.
